The Independent Student Union at Princeton University
(The ISU no longer exists, as far as anyone can tell.)
The Independent Student Union (ISU) was a student organization whose mission was to provide a forum for discussing Independent life within the University, organize events and activities that bring together the Independent student community, and provide various services that enable students to make the most out of being Independent. While the ISU sought to benefit the entire University community, it specifically represented those students who lived in the Spelman dormitories, were members of the 2-D and Brown Co-ops, lived off-campus and/or had chosen not to join an eating club. Additionally, the ISU served as a resource to freshmen and sophomores in the residential colleges who were considering and would have liked to learn more about the various eating and living options available to them.
